Henry - The Life and Loves of a King - a New MusicalThe writers of a new musical are seeking cast and crew to premiere this new musical about Henry VIII's quest for a male heir at Stringer's Barn, Guildford, from 26th to 29th August, 2005. The musical is written by Alan Townsend, Tony Carson and Tess Townsend and funding has been found for most of the production expenses. Currently the writers/producers are awaiting the outcome of a funding bid to employ two professional actors to play the leading roles of Henry and his Fool. Musicians and choir are in place, as are the director and musical director. Auditions will be held on 9th April at Stringer's Barn, Salt Box Road, Jacobswell, Guildford. At 11am they will be interviewing for technical crew and at 2pm the auditions for actors will be held. Amateur actors/singers are invited to do a general audition or try for a specific part and professionals for the two leads, King Henry and the Fool. At the moment it is intended that a number of parts will be doubled, trebled or even more. Cast List
