Theatre in the West Midlands: Producing Companies
Banner Theatre Company
Based in Birmingam. A community-based theatre, it produces usical docmentary productions on current social issues.
Beaver Arts
From Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire. A community and children's theatre group, it likes to work with groups to produce their own productions. Its productions are usually one-offs and it does also offer workshops.
C&T
Based at University College, Worcester. It produces "innovative theatre projects for new audiences in new contexts, harnessing the power of digital media."
Custard Factory Theatre
(Birmingham) Its work is based on classic texts.
Farsight Theatre
(Wolverhampton) A women's thetare company, using total theatre: devised and new work, with live music, often visual/unscripted.
Gazebo TIE
Based in Darleston. A community and theatre in education company.
Geese Theatre Company
Based at the Midlands Arts Centre in Birmingham. Geese uses theatre and drama as an aid to offender rehabilition. Works in prisons, detention centres and with those who are in danger of offending.
Highly Sprung Theatre Company
Based in Coventry.
Round Midnight
(Birmingham) TIE and community theatre, touring and youth theatre (Raw Talent is the name of its YT).
Pentabus Theatre Company
(Ludlow, Shropshire) Theatre for the rural communities of Shropshire, Hertfordshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Warwickshire.
Play On
(Birmingham) Music theatre productions of classic plays which tour nationally. Also devise new works with community groups, with a special interest in mental health problems.
Stan's Cafe
Based at MAC in Birmingham. Aims to "devise challenging and rewarding new theatre for touring and on-off locations."

(Coventry) Community-orientated, providing arts access for the Coventry region. Features new and neglected plays and site-specific work.
