The 2004 Edinburgh Fringe - Catherine's StoryDateline: 23rd August, 2004First let me thank some of the folks who assuredly do not get thanked enough. To my hostess, once again, for her warm and welcoming bed, shower, tea, and, most especially, company. To Angela and the tirelessly patient people at the Fringe Press Office, Dan and the tirelessly patient people at the Pleasance Press Office. To the press staff at The Gilded Balloon, the C Venues, Cowgate and all of the various venues press staff. To Philip and Peter, from BTG, who truly nursed me along this year. To the Aurora Nova who proved that cutting edge and risky theatre is worth all of the work and risk. To all of the actors, producers, directors and technical and creative staff of all of the shows. And to the various Fringe munchkins who are so helpful and willing to tell me where to go. And a special thanks to the silent masses who make the Fringe happen. A standing ovation! Thanks to travelselect.com for getting me a great rate last October. My hats off to Virgin Atlantic who never fail to disappoint me with their take-off and arrival and to British Midlands who found me a flight to Edinburgh even though I arrived hours late. This top ten list was not easy, especially this year. My apologies to anyone who should have been on this list and was not. I wanted to love everything I saw. I didnt see everything. Only what Philip didnt see. It is also worth noting that I often selected some productions for their polished professionalism and some for their promise and potential. 1) Its Only a Rehearsal (Aurora Nova) ***** Articles Indices:
