C Venues

C Venues has a host of activities in its twenty performance spaces across four venues. One show not to be missed is Theatre Temion’s The Fantasist who create a haunting tale of the extreme emotional highs and lows of suffering from bipolar disorder. With impressive physical performances and stunning life-size puppetry this is a deeply moving personal story.

Bad Boy Eddie at C Aquila, written by award-winning Finish playwright Anna Krgerus, is a touching and encouraging story of an inconspicuous child’s struggle to find a place in his family and the world and is part of a collaboration between From-Start-to-Finnish and Finland bringing new work to the UK. The programme also has two other shows at the Pleasance Dome.

Martin Mulgrew’s Entertaining Mr Orton at C+3 is a black comedy in Orton’s own shocking and innuendo-strewn style and explores the scandalous, shocking life story of one of theatre’s most enduring and enigmatic sons.

At C Aquila is I (Honestly) Love You. Nominated best play in Western Australia, this comedy follows two people inflicted with a truth-telling disease as they meet and fall in love. It’s a tale of love gained and love lost, complicated relationships, vicious truths and life or honest lies and death.
