Summary

The 2014 Edinburgh Fringe is only two weeks away. It’s the largest arts festival in the world and it is even bigger this year.

There are over 49,000 performances of 3,193 shows in 299 venues across the city. So choosing what to see can be a mammoth task and quite a challenge.

The main venues such as The Pleasance, Assembly, Assembly Rooms, Underbelly, The Gilded Balloon and The Traverse are good places to start.

There are also a number of new spaces including Greenside @ Nicholson Square and three new performance areas at The Space for site-specific theatre.

Not forgetting C Venues' 5 complexes including the new C Cubed at Riddles Court and C South, plus it is certainly worth a visit to Summerhall, which this year also has a pop up theatre space.

So what of the shows themselves? There is certainly something for everyone no matter what your age.
