Addams Family and Footloose

The Addams Family – tour starts 20 April UK and Ireland première

Musical comedy The Addams Family tours the UK and Ireland. It has a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, based on the characters created by Charles Addams.

Eastenders' Samantha Womack will play Morticia, Coronation Street's Les Dennis will play Uncle Fester and Carrie Hope will play Wednesday.

Also in the cast are Cameron Blakely as Gomez, Valda Aviks as Grandma Addams, Charlotte Page as Alice, Dale Rapley as Mal, Grant McIntyre as Pugsley, Dickon Gough as Lurch and Oliver Ormson as Lucas.

The ensemble includes Kathryn Barnes, Jessica Buckby, Perola Congo, Gavin Eden, Jacob Fisher, Christopher D Hunt, Kirsty Ingram, Rhona McGregor, Scott Paige and Jak Skelly.

The show is directed by Matthew White with choreography by Alistair David and musical direction by Andrew Hilton.

The Addams Family tour opens at Festival Theatre, Edinburgh and then visits Royal & Derngate, Northampton, Marlowe Theatre Canterbury, Cliffs Pavilion Southend, Birmingham Hippodrome, Hall for Cornwall Truro, Nottingham Theatre Royal, The Alhambra Theatre, Mayflower Theatre Southampton, Cardiff Wales Millennium Centre, Bord Gais Energy Theatre Dublin and The Lowry Salford with further dates to be announced.

Footloose: The Musical – tour starts 21 April

Footloose: The Musical will tour again during 2017, including a limited season in the West End at the Peacock Theatre.

The show, based on the 1984 movie Footloose starring Kevin Bacon, enjoyed a successful tour during 2016 and is back on the road around the UK and abroad, with Gareth Gates, Maureen Nolan and Hannah Price reprising their roles as Willard, Vi and Ariel Moore.

They are joined by Reuven, Lindsay Goodhand, Laura Sillett, Connor Going, Emma Fraser, Gracie Lai, Tomas Wolstenhome, Dominic Gee Burch. The cast also includes Luke Dowling, Grace Lancaster, Laurence Libor, Jamie Ross and Lauren Storer.

Footloose: The Musical has music by Tom Snow and lyrics by Dean Pitchford and has been adapted for the stage by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie from the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford.

Racky Plews directs with choreography by Matthew Cole and musical supervision by Mark Crossland.

The tour of Footloose starts at New Wimbledon Theatre and visits York Grand Opera House, Wycombe Swan Theatre, Richmond Theatre, Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch, Buxton Opera House, Venue Cymru Llandudno, Coventry Belgrade Theatre, Swansea Grand Theatre, Guildford G Live, Churchill Theatre, Bromley, Devonshire Park Theatre Eastbourne, The Towngate Theatre, Basildon, Storyhouse Theatre, Chester and The Peacock Theatre London. Only UK dates have been listed. Gareth Gates will not appear in Wimbledon and Chester.
