Hedda Gabler – tour starts 2 October

Ibsen’s classic Hedda Gabler tours in a new version by award-winning playwright Patrick Marber whose writing credits include Closer and Three Days In The Country.

The production is presented by the National Theatre for whom it has been directed by Ivo van Hove. van Hove's production of A View from the Bridge transferred from London's Young Vic to the West End and to Broadway to much acclaim.

Lizzy Watts takes the title role; her stage credits include Strife at Chichester Festival Theatre, The Angry Brigade and Artefacts at The Bush, A Midsummer Night's Dream at The Globe, Blink for Nabokov and Wasted for Paines Plough whilst on radio she plays Ivy Layton in Radio 4's Home Front.

Hedda Gabler visits Theatre Royal Plymouth, Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Leicester Curve, The Lowry Salford, Norwich Theatre Royal, Hull New Theatre, His Majesty’s Theatre Aberdeen, Northampton Royal & Derngate, Grand Theatre Wolverhampton, New Victoria Woking, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Newcastle Theatre Royal, Grand Opera House York, and Milton Keynes Theatre.

In Memory Of Leaves – tour starts 4 October

In Memory of Leaves is performed by Natasha Langridge on a wide beam barge as it does a short tour of three docks across London.

Langridge is a Meyer-Whitworth award winner for Shraddha; her writing and directing credits include Beverley, Breathing in Brixton and The Method and Worthing Whispers. She co-authored Rage and Reason Women Playwrights on Playwriting.

In Memory of Leaves is an uncompromising monologue about love and protest and what happens to communities when they are moved from their homes.

The play is written by Natasha Langridge; the dramaturg is Lisa Goldman and movement is by Jayne McVeigh.

The Fordham Gallery Barge will be moored on the Grand Union Canal at Meanwhile Gardens, Camden Lock and Hackney Wick. Note that this show will be performed on a boat the precise location of which will be advised by e-mail (the e-mail will include a map with directions) during the week leading up to the performance.

Big Foot – tour starts 4 October

Big Foot is a semi-autobiographical coming of age story about learning to take care of the ones we love written and performed by Joseph Barnes-Phillips.

The show features grime music and Guyanese folk stories as it follows south London teenager Rayleigh coping with love, life and masculinity as he grows up to face his responsibilities.

Big Foot is directed by Dominic Garfield, created by HighRise Theatre and presented by Black Theatre Live and Stratford Circus Arts Centre.

This show is the sixth touring production for consortium Black Theatre Live.

Big Foot opens at Stratford Circus London and visits Theatre Royal Margate, Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre, artsdepot London, Queen's Hall Arts Centre Hexham, Key Theatre Peterborough, Theatre Royal Bury St Edumunds, Lighthouse Poole, Derby Theatre, Contact Manchester, Tara Theatre London, Lawrence Batley Theatre Huddersfield, Lakeside Theatre Essex and Upstairs at the Western Leicester.

What Once Was Ours – tour starts 5 October

Collaborators Lincoln based Zest Theatre and London's Half Moon held workshops with over 200 teens to create their part-scripted, part-verbatim show exploring youth attitudes to Brexit, What Once Was Ours.

This touring show focuses on Callum and Katie, a half-brother and sister, from different backgrounds and the struggling relationship when one asks for help.

What Once Was Ours is devised by Zest Theatre and Half Moon Writing with collaborator / dramaturg Chris Elwell. The director is Toby Ealden.
