English première of Nobel winner Jelinek's Sports Play

The English language première of Nobel Prize winner Elfriede Jelinek's theatrical meditation on sport and violence, which blurs the boundaries between a theatre event and a sporting event, will tour to: Live at LICA, Lancaster 11 July; The Maltings, Berwick-upon-Tweed 13 July; Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff 19 and 20 July; The Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter 23 and 24 July; Chelsea Theatre, London 30 July to 4 August.

Oily Cart and RSC In a Pickle for 2- to 4-year-olds

Oily Cart and the Royal Shakespeare Company will present In a Pickle, a multi-sensory introduction to Shakespeare for 2- to 4-year-olds inspired by The Winter's Tale, in the Swan Room at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon from 23 May to 17 June, at Stratford Circus, London from 19 to 23 June and at Northern Stage, Newcastle from 27 to 30 June.

Inua Ellams's Knight Watch

Fuel will tour with Knight Watch, the new show from Inia Ellams, set in a city not unlike London in a modern day, magical realist tale of violence and gang culture. Danza Contemporánea de Cuba Triple Bill

Danza Contemporánea de Cuba embarks on a six-week Dance Consortium UK tour with a triple bill of works: the hit of the 2010 programme, George Céspedes’ Mambo 3XX1; new piece Sombriso commissioned by Newcastle Theatre Royal; Carmen?! choreographed by Helsinki Dance Company director Kenneth Kvarnström. Spinach at the King's Head

Spinach, a "sung play" written by Janine Waters and composed by Simon Waters that premièred last year at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre, brings its story about two people who wake up tied together unable to remember a thing to King's Head Theatre from 12 June to 7 July.

Soap stars tour in Soap Opera play

Soap Opera is a spoof murder mystery set behind the scenes of a failing TV soap opera starring Leslie Grantham (Dirty Den from Eastenders), Chris Ellison (DCI Burnside from The Bill). Louis Emerick (Mick Johnson from Brookside), Michelle Gayle (Hattie Tevernier from Eastenders) and actor and comedian Kev Orkian.

Bee Detective outdoors for deaf & hearing children

Tin Bath Theatre will present Bee Detective by Sophie Woolley for both deaf and hearing children in parks and squares across the UK this summer, visiting St Nicholas Rest Garden for the Brighton Festival 5 to 6 May, Wales Millennium Centre for the Unity Festival 23 and 24 June, Alnwick Garden 13 to 15 July and Southbank Centre for Unlimited Festival 31 August to 2 September.

New End's Jerusalem Tango

New End Theatre Beyond will perform Jerusalem Tango, a new play by Pat Rowe set between the end of World War II and Israeli independence about a British officer who falls for a young Jewish woman as they dance the tango at the King David Hotel. It will be at The Carriageworks in Leeds from 1 to 26 May and Arts Depot, London on 30 and 31 May.

Coronation Street musical arena tour

Street of Dreams the musical based on popular TV soap Coronation Street, will go on a national arena tour in May, calling at Manchester Arena on 9 and 10 May, Dublin Arena on 18 and 19 May, Belfast Arena on 21 and 22 May and Newcastle Arena on 29 and 30 May.

Unfolding Theatre's first national tour with Best in the World

Mousetrap first ever tour

National Theatre Steel Magnolias

Kacey Ainsworth (Annelle), Isla Blair (M’Lynn), Cheryl Campbell (Ouiser), Cherie Lunghi (Clairee), Sadie Pickering (Shelby) and Denise Welch (Truvy) comprise the cast for the National Tour of Steel Magnolias, written by Robert Harling and directed by David Gilmore, which will open at the Theatre Royal Bath on 2 April 2012, before touring nationally to the New Theatre, Cardiff (9-14 April), Alhambra Theatre, Bradford (16-21 April), Theatre Royal, Nottingham (23-28 April), Theatre Royal, Brighton (30 April – 5 May), Grand Opera House, York (7 -12 May), Richmond Theatre, Richmond (14 -19 May), Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham (21 -26 May), Theatre Royal, Newcastle (28 May – 2 June), The Mayflower, Southampton (4 -9 June) and Milton Keynes Theatre, Milton Keynes (11 – 16 June).

Phantom to tour

The national tour of Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom Of The Opera will premiere at the Theatre Royal Plymouth from 25th February to 31st March, 2012, before going on to Manchester Palace, Bristol Hippodrome, Dublin Grand Canal, Leeds Grand Theatre, Edinburgh Playhouse, Milton Keynes Theatre, Cardiff Millennium Centre, Southampton Mayflower, Liverpool Empire and Birmingham Hippodrome.

Cheek By Jowl's Pity She's A Whore

Cheek By Jowl is to tour a new production of 'Tis Pity She's a Whore, directed by Declan Donnellan and will be seen in Paris and Sydney before touring the UK. No UK dates or venues have been announced.

Propellor Henry V and Winter's Tale

Edward Hall's Propeller theatre is to tour all-male productions of Henry V and The Winter's Tale to Sheffield Lyceum (Winter's Tale only) (Jan 31-Feb 4); The Lowry, Salford (Feb 7-11); Marlowe, Canterbury (March 26-31); Theatre Royal, Newcastle (April 24-28); Coventry Belgrade (May 1-5); Theatre Royal, Norwich (May 8-12); Theatre Royal, Plymouth (May 15-19); Hampstead Theatre (July 4-21).

Oliver!

Cameron Mackintosh is to tour the revised staging of Oliver! throughout the UK into 2013. Neil Morrisey and Brian Conley will alternate the role of Fagin. It will tour to Manchester (24th Jan - 10th March, 2012), Birmingham (13th March - 1st April, 2012), Leeds (6th Nov. - 8th Dec.), Dublin (11th Dec. - 12th Jan., 2013) and Bristol (15th Jan. - 2nd March, 2013). Conley will appear for the second part of the Birmingham run (3rd - 21st April, 2012), continuing to Southampton (1st - 26th May , 2012), Edinburgh (30th May - 23rd June, 2012), Norwich (3rd July - 4th Aug., 2012), Plymouth (8th Aug. - 8th Sept., 2012) and Newcastle (12th Sept. - 13th Nov., 2012).
