Complicite's first show for young people tours UK
Complicite will tour its first show aimed at young people and their families with an adaptation of the Lion Boy novels by Zizou Corder, adapted by Marcelo Dos Santos and directed by Annabel Arden.
NTS revives Harrower's Calum's Road for Scottish tour
Communicado Theatre Company and the National Theatre of Scotland are to tour David Harrower's adaption of Calum's Road from the book by Roger Hutchinson, which originally toured Scotland in 2011.
The play is directed by Gerry Mulgrew, with Alasdair Macrae, Ian Macrae, Ceit Kearney and Angela Hardie returning to recreate their original roles joined by Lewis Howden and Ben Winger.

Varmints is Travelling Light on UK tour
Travelling Light Theatre Company is touring a new piece of dance theatre, Varmints, for children and families based on the book of the same name by Helen Ward and Marc Craste. Miss Nightingale takes burlesque on tour
Matthew Bugg's musical Miss Nightingale, which previously toured in a shorter versionin 2011, is to embark on a UK tour with its story of sex, scandal and showbiz in war-torn 1940s London starring burlesque artist Amber Topaz with Ilan Goodman, Tomm Coles, Adam Langstaff and Alex Tomkins.

ETT tours Globe's In Extremis in 2014
English Touring Theatre will tour the Shakespeare's Globe production of In Extremis by Howard Brenton to eight large-scale receiving theatres in Spring 2014, one of three productions it will tour between 2014 and 2016 to theatres participating in its National Touring Group: Blackpool Grand, Darlington Civic Theatre, Hall for Cornwall, Cambridge Arts Theatre, Theatre Royal Brighton, Marlowe Theatre Canterbury, Malvern Theatres and the Wolverhampton Grand.
Globe's first visit to Asia with all-female Shrew
Shakespeare's Globe will tour to Asia for the first time with its all-female The Taming of the Shrew directed by Joe Murphy, artistic director of new writing company Nabokov, and designed by Hannah Clark.

Globe tour of Lear starring Joseph Marcell
Joseph Marcell, best-known as Geoffrey in the hit US sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, will play the title role in King Lear for Shakespeare's Globe in a production directed by Bill Buckhurst that will be performed at sixteen venues in the UK and Europe, including the Elizabethan Parham House, Kronborg Castle in Denmark and Hagia Irene in Istanbul.
Alongside Marcell, Rawiri Paratene will play Gloucester, Oliver Boot will be Edmund and King of France, Bethan Cullinane will be Cordelia and Fool, Ruth Everett will be Goneril and Curan, Shanaya Rafaat will be Regan, Matthew Romain will be Edgar and Duke of Cornwall and Dickon Tyrrell will be Earl of Kent.

Faulks's Birdsong from Original Theatre Company
Original Theatre Company will tour an adaptation of the novel Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks, adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and directed by Alastair Whatley, from January to August.
