Links to British actors' and actresses' directories, agents etc..

Acting Associates
In the absence of anything about the company, we assume that Acting Associates is an actors agency. The first page lists all actors/actresses represented, and each has a page with full CV and a photo.

The Acting Website
A big directory of information for actors, supported by the National Youth Theatre. There are lists of agents of all kinds, services of all kinds, resources and news.

Amber Personal Management
An actor's agency based in Manchester. there are detailsof the actors they have on their books, where they can be seen currently, information about the agency itself and other bits and pieces.

Blackburn Sachs Associates
An agency representing actors and TV presenters. There are listings of its clients and some details about the agency's principals.

British Cinema Greats
A site which does just what it says, looks at the greats of British cinema, including biographies of some of our greatest screen actors.

Casting Call Pro
A free service to actors, agents and casting professionals. It offers the ability to upload CV, showreels and headshots, email alerts when appropriate jobs come up and a forum.

The Casting Studio
Describes itself as "a central location for promoting and identifying talent for UK television, commercials, film, theatre and modelling." Not a casting agency.

CastNet UK
An online casting directory but with a difference: instead of simply putting actors' CVs online, it claims to be pro-active and to send information to casting directors etc. The cost is £6.50 a week.

Creative Artists Management
News of what their artists are doing (Anita Dobson is one), a page of "artists of the month", an enquiry form, and contact details.

Trevor Ingman
An actor's agent, based in London. There's a page for actors, one for actresses and another on how to contact the agency.

SMS Showcall
This used to be Brit Stars but is now SMS Showcall, offering to text details of auditions to your mobile phone.

Spotlight on the Web
Everyone in the business knows Spotlight, the casting director's bible. To use Spotlight Interactive you have to be a subscriber, for which you pay £150 a year.

English Actors at the Turn of the Twentieth Century
Pictures of a selection of some forty or so English actors and actresses from the late 19th/early 20th century.

Theatre Lives
A musical theatre fan site for people in Connecticut, so far covering William Gillette, Sarah Bernhardt, Lily Langtry and Lea Salonga. Visitors are asked to send in details of their favourite performers. Two sections (About and the Message Board) have nothing there at the moment.

Voiceovers.co.uk
Another casting site, specialising - obviously! - in voiceovers. There's a searchable database (not a huge number of people, however), and a New Talent section. Each artist has a RealAudio file, part of his/her showreel.

The Who's Who of Stage Musicals
A site from Musical Stages magazine. An online database of performers in musicals, giving, for each, details of shows, films, TV, recordings etc. and, usually, a picture. A very useful site.

The World of Acting
Primarily a discussion forum for actors across the world, but it is based in Britain and so has a UK bias. There are also some articles on acting. It went online in January 2005 so there isn't a great deal there yet but it could be a good resource if people use it.
