The index of links to amateur theatre companies (L)

Lancaster Footlights Club
This is part of the Grand Theatre site, on which there are two pages devoted to the Footlights: this general information page and details of their programme.

Lapworth Players
A 30 year old society based in the village of Lapworth in Warwickshire, doing two shows a year in the village hall. Part of a site devoted to the village.

Laughing Stock Company
(Inverclyde) The usual information: about the society, news, next and past productions, and how to join.

Leeds Arts Centre
A nicely designed site covering the society itself, its productions, membership and details of the Civic Theatre in which they perform.

Leeds Children's Theatre
An amateur group "providing quality entertainment for youn people at an affordable price." One page dealing mainly with their next production.

The Lee Players
(Stubbington, Hants) Details of their productions, patrons scheme, mailing list, calendar, the charities they support, social events, and joining them.

Leicester Little Theatre
Home of the Leicester Drama Society. A list of what's on: their own shows, visiting amateur companies, and some professional performances. If there's another page (apart from the "splash" screen, which this link avoids), I can't find it!

Leicester Operatic Players
Concentrates on G&S and other light opera. Details about the society, its productions, how to get tickets and how to contact them. No internal links: [BACK] button essential.

Leitheatre
Based in Edinburgh and performing shows during the year and at the Edinburgh Fringe. Pages on the society's history (it is 60 years old in 2006), its productions, a calendar, how to join and how to contact them.

Leixlip Theatre Group
An Irish group, based in Leinster. Two pages: one containing most of the information, and one with photographs of their most recent production, plus a link to a virtual tour of the town (which is quite interesting). They do a theatrical pub crawl, doing a different one-act play in four pubs in the town. What a nice idea! It'd be worth joining them for that alone!!!

Lifelines
A Christian Drama Group based in Stockport. Members are aged 11 upwards and they create their own material. Most of the usual information spread over a reasonable number of pages, but it does seem heavily weighted towards selling their own full-length and sketches scripts.

Lincolnshire Theatre
An individual's site, with pages on the County Operatic and Dramatic Society, Lincoln Operatic and Draatic Society and the Lincoln Actors Theatre Company. It actually gives very little hard information, but it's very enthusiastic!

Lindsey Rural Players
(Wickenby, Lincs) The site focuses on their theatre, the Broadbent Theatre. What's on, past productions, profiles of members, how to join, location, the history of the LRP, and a mailing list.

Little Hadham Panto Group
Herts. A lot of info here: the most recent panto, ticket sales, the history of panto and of the group, reviews of the last production, their constitution (refreshingly brief!), a list of past productions, the village of Little Hadham, and NODA.

Little Theatre Company
An amateur group in Burton upon Trent. Details of their theatre, past productions, how to contact them, and a members' section.

Liverpool Network Theatre Group
An amateur group whose goal is to produce the very best in amateur theatre, to encourage participation in theatre at all levels and to use theatre to include, encourage and inform. And have lots of fun! A wide range of pages, including their New Playwrights' Project.

Loddon Players & Loddon Pantomime Players
An amateur group from Norfolk. The usual information about the societies and their productions. Lots of rather twee animated clip art and midi files.

Loft Theatre Company
A non-professional company in Leamington Spa which owns its own theatre with two auditoria.

The Lords of Misrule
The Lords of Misrule began life in the 1960s when a group of theatrically inclined graduate students from the University of York decided to start producing medieval drama in the original Middle English. Now, almost 40 years later, the Lordscontinue to produce theatre in the original pronunciation. The site requires a screen resolution of 1024x768 to see it properly.

Louth Playgoers Society
Lincolnshire. The current season, reviews of last season, future plans, and a backstage section.

Lovelace Theatre Group
Based in Hucknall, Nottingham. The usual information is provided: history, productions, and so on, plus video clips of rehearsals for their 2004 panto.

Lucilla Dramatic Society
Established in 1920 in Crosby, Liverpool. Pages on who they are, their history and productions, their one-act play festival, and two playwriting members.

Lyndhurst Drama and Musical Society
(New Forest) Details of past and future productions, news and how to contact them.
