The index of links to amateur theatre companies (R)

Rackheath Players
(Norwich, Norfolk) A slightly different site: there's the usual society information (intro, productions, fire of the theatre, how to contact or join them), with a merchandising page with links to Amazon and WH Smith Online for books and TicketLinks for tickets for West End shows.

Radcliffe on Trent Drama Group
Pages about the group and its history, its current and past productions, news and a map of how to get to their venue, the Grange Hall.

RAF Mildenhall Players
Suffolk. Supported by the Bob Hope Community Centre at the USAF airbase and open to active service military personnel and civilians. One page with details about what they're doing at the moment.

Rainbow 2000
An amateur group in Benfleet. Details about the group and their past shows. More pages are promised soon.

Ratae Co-operative Players
(Leicester) The usual ingredients - productions, their theatre, a newsletter, photos and their Youth Theatre.

The Really Cuckoo Company of St Mary's
An amateur operatic society based in Risca, Monmouth, around the Church of St Mary's. Who they are, their past productions (each with its own page), and news.

Redditch Operatic Society
A society formed in 1960. There's a page about the society, a list of their productions (the most recent of which have their own pages), news and details of how to contact them and book tickets.

Reigate Amateur Theatrical Society
(Surrey) Good use of tables to organise information and aid layout here.

The Richings Players
(Iver, Bucks) News, the society's history, past and future shows, reviews and pictures.

Richmond Shakespeare Society
(Twickenham) This company does ten plays a year, at least two of which are Shakespeare. The site currently features their forthcoming (July 2000) open-air production of Much Ado About Nothing. There's a list of characters, details of the venue and ther production, and details on how to book tickets.

Ringwood Musical and Dramatic Society
(Hants.) Another very comprehensive site, setting out all there is to know about this society. There's a list of their shows which goes back to 1911!

Ripley and Alfreton Operatic Society
(Derbyshire) Founded in 1932. A very thorough site, even down to the rehearsal schedule for the current production.

Riverside Players (Eynsford)
Details of membership, the group's history, productions, auditions, the youth group, press reviews and a (useful for the expert) "Tekkies' Corner".

Riverside Players (Heswall)
(Cheshire) Not a bad site: news, what's on, reviews, a photo gallery, links and an email contact.

Romiley Little Theatre
(Merseyside) Forthcoming productions, a seating plan, a history, how to join, and details of their youth group.

Romiley Operatic Society
News, history, gallery, shows and how to contact them.

Romsey AODS at the Plaza Theatre
(Serving the area between Southampton, Salisbury and Winchester) Both the society and the theatre date back to the 1930s but the one bought the other only in 1985. There's a history of both, very detailed tech specs of the theatre, and the usual production and memebrship info, plus a guided tour of the theatre.

Ross Operatic and Dramatic Society
Ross-on-Wye. There is quite a lot of info here.

Royal Airforce Theatrical Association
This page is created by the UK Theatre Web partners who are members. A very brief (three paragraph) intro to RAFTA.

Royal Manor Theatre Company
Based in Portland, Dorset, and over 50 years old. General intro, history, and the next production, plus three new pages, two of which comprise photographs and the third is an ad for a show which has now passed.

Royalty Theatre
The Royalty Theatre is based in Sunderland. The site is large, with sections on the current month, the current season, the theatre's history, how to get involved, the youth theatre, and the theatre itself, including all its technical specs.

The Ruddington Footlights
(Notts.) News, events (past productions and future events), acting members, stage crew, history, charity (they donate profits to charity), and reviews.

Rugby Theatre
10 productions a year, about 20 films, a number of concerts. Quite a large group, with over 500 members.

Runnymede Drama Group
Egham, Surrey. How this site has changed! It is now database-driven and is bang up-to-date. Simple but effective design and good navigation.

The Russell Players
(Swallowfield, Berks) About the society and where to find them; past and future productions; membership (a form to print out if you want to join); scenery hire (from one production); and a members-only area.

Rushmere Players Drama Group
The next production, previous productions back to 1983, brief details of membership, a competiton - and dreadful background music!

Rutland Amateur Theatrical Society
Based in Oakham in England's smallest county. There's not a great deal on this site - just one rather brief page.
