Links to sites for or about production companies in England - page 4.

Icarus Productions
A company whose aim is to produce new adaptations of classical Greek plays. Pages about the copany, its current and previous shows, its members, and how to contact it.

Illyria
A much improved site now (April 2001) for a company which I rate very highly, and still partially under construction. There's a considerable amount about the company, its shows and its tours.

Imitating the Dog
Describes itself as "one of Britain's most exciting and explosive theatre companies." Experimental. Details of the company, its mission statement, and its shows. There's also a message board and a mailing list.

Improbable Theatre (Official site)
Details of the company and its productions, its corporate work, a mailing list and a forum. There's also a gallery of pictures. Interesting design, too, although the info area only occupies a small part of the screen.

Improbable Theatre
This is an unofficial site for the company. Unfortunately it can be a little misleading at times.

Impetus Theatre
Ths company now has a totally new site. It's a new writing company, and there are details of its productions and workshops, and info about its director. Nice design, too - a change from the previous site!

Inside Job
(Liked with Tara Arts) One short page outlining the company's work within the criminal justice system.

Iroko Theatre Company
A London-based company: traditional African storytelling, drumming, dance and theatre. They work a lot in the TIE area. Details of who they ae and the programmes (adult and children) they offer.

Interference Theatre Co-operative
"Dark humour" - "Original music and sound" - "Using imagery to progress the action as much as text": these are the phrases this Leeds-based company used to describe their work. There's details of what they do, an archive of their previous productions, and a chance for you to get involved in their current piece.

Jade
London-based heatre company. Details of the company itself, its productions and other work.

JFK Repertory Company
This company is currently (June '98) involved in a new musical, Tess, based on Thomas Hardy's novel Tess of the D'Urbervilles, and the site not only gives us an outline of the show but also details of how to invest in the production. There's also details of the company's history and mission, and two of its other shows.

Jill Freud and Co.
A non-profit distributing co-operative company which produces summer seasons in Southwold and Aldeburgh. Details of the company, its personnel, its history and what's on this summer.

Just Desserts
Not a bad pun, really: Just Desserts is primarily a murder mystery dinner theatre production company, offering public (i.e. arranged by themselves) and private performances.

Robert C Kelly Ltd
A Glasgow-based independent theatrical production house, touring shows throughout the UK as well as West End shows.

Bill Kenwright Ltd.
Pages on current productions, both in the West End and touring, with very basic info.

Kestrel TC
A very short page about the company's work in prsons.

KG Productions
The company of which I am artistic director, set up to provide professional experience for ex-students of King George V School in South Shields. Details of artistic policy, personnel, shows and sponsorship.

Kingston Productions
Aiming to promote well-produced, wide-appeal, small-scale productions that are affordable. Details of its productions (not many in Sept. '99), its people and its vision (a kind of mission statement). News is "coming soon". Fairly frequent elementary spelling errors do not inspire total confidence!

KIT Productions
The company behind the new (2005) Sound Theatre in Wardour Street. Details of its productions, the venue itself and the people involved.

Kneehigh
Based in Cornwall. Very heavy on Javascript, opening up a number of pop-up windows, and complex frame structure, which makes it slowish to load. Each page is quite light in information, so you spend a lot of time clicking through to the next.

Komedy Kollective
A new theatre company in the North of England. The site says, "If you appreciate the offbeat madcapness of Monty Python, the chaotic songs of the Rocky Horror, the mythological significance of Captain Pugwash, and the sinister overtones of League of Gentlemen, and you have a warped imagination of what should be the future of live drama", then their work will appeal. There is not a great deal on the site at the moment (Feb. 2006), as it is very new.

Labyrinth Theatre
Specialising in visual, physical theatre. The site gives some details about the company, its productions, education work and how to contact them.

The Laughing Orange Theatre Company
A newly formed professional company concentrating on physical theatre and story-telling. Details of its aims and productions.

LeKoa
A "theatre collaborative" committed to writing and producing new plays and based in Glossop. Details of their productions and projects, history, personnel, education work and news.

Library Theatre Company
Based at the Forum Theatre, Wythenshaw. Just a couple of paragraphs with very little information.

the Lions part
A company with associations with the Globe and the neighbourhodd of Southwark. The site features details about the copany, its productions and events such as May Day and Twelfth Night, and a form for making a donation.

The Little Green Bag Theatre Company
Pages about the company, their current production and the venues it is playing, sponsors, and a photo of the cast.

L'Khaim Theatre
"A multi-cultural company committed to producing high quality plays with a Jewsih theme, and encouraging new talent." One page with details of two productions.

Lloyd-Webber.NET
At first this seems like a typical ALW page with details on productions, news, features, reviews, biographies, forum, etc., but once you start to dig a bit deeper, it gets a little different, with a lot of pieces (totally unrelated to theatre) by the man himself.

London Bubble
London Bubble is a company set up 25 years ago to provide theatre for those areas of London which do not have professional companies or theatres. Based in Rotherhithe, it has very strong ties with Augusto Boal (Theatre of the Oppressed and Forum Theatre). Details of productions back to '94 and of their adult and youth groups, as well as workshops.

Lovely Plays
Formed as a comedy group in 1991 and based in Leeds. This is a very grahics-intensive site which uses a lot of Javascript on its front page. A bit surreal in some ways: have a look at their theatre archive first, but if you want to look at samples of their humour, go to their Electric Babylon page.

Lucid Theatre
A new company set up by some 2003 graduates from Drama Studio London. The site gives details of the company's aims, its members, its latest production (which is its first), and past productions (currently an empty page). There are also pages on how to support and contact them.

LynchPin Productions
Who they are, including biographies; details of their shows - Emily Dickinson and I and Cloning Mary Shelley (these pages include reviews, photos and performance dates), and workshops. Following internal links opens a new window for each section, which is a bit annoying!

Mad Dogs and Englishmen
Based in Essex. Details about the company, its productions and education work, plus a membership association (Guardian Angels) and a request for support.

Magic Carpet Theatre
A children's theatre company. Full details in our School and Youth Theatre Library.

Martin Sutherland Productions
"Committed," so the site tells us, "to presenting, promoting and producing the finest and most dynamic music, comedy and cabaret in the UK and abroad." There's a history of the company and details of all its current shows.

Maverick Theatre
A Birmingham based company presenting pub theatre. There's news, an email form to order tickets, how to contact the company and sponsorship possibilities. The Resources section has some interesting ideas, particularly their "Peoples Choice" scheme.
