Opened in 1805, making it the fourth oldest working theatre in the
UK. Used mainly by amateurs with some professional shows. One page

programme. Unfortunately the main What's On page does not differentiate
between theatre, film and music. Unusually th theatre offers a LAMDA-accredited
drama course.
Lichfield Garrick
Named after the actor David Garrick (1717 - 1779), probably Lichfield's
most famous theatrical son, this is a new theatre of 490 seats, with
a 170-seat studio, gallery, bar and foyer. The site gives details
of the programme, the theatre itself, and all the usual details.
Live Theatre, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
Details about the Live Cafe, a very large section about the venue itself (including its history and artistic policy), technical info and the box office.
Lochside Theatre, Castle Douglas

Library Theatre, Manchester
Manchester's leading rep theatre. Details on disabled access (the
best range of facilities I've ever seen), booking (but not online)
and history, plus a map, a mailing list and the latest news. The only
way to find out details of the programme is through the Access page.

Town Hall
A community venue with a wide range of events, including theatre,
music and comedy.
Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith
Not a lot here, and very out of date - programme for spring 1997!
The Maddermarket, Norwich
A theatre which has a small full-time professional staff, but which is used mainly by amateurs, although there are some imported professsional shows. There's a the full programme and details of their new writing project, Playwrights East, as well as the usual details about the theatre.

Milton Keynes Theatre and Gallery
The theatre describes itself as "the most technologically advanced new theatre ever built in Britain". Unfortunately the site gives no technical specifications which, in light of this, would be very interesting. A fairly standard site, giving the usual information. It does, however, offer online booking.

Newcastle Opera
House
Formerly the New Tyne Theatre and Opera House, this has now become
a music venue apart from a pantomime at Christmas. It remains a lovely
theatre with the original Victorian hydraulic stage machinery still
in working order.
The New Theatre, Nottingham
University
The only completely student-run theatre in England: details of the
theatre and how it is organised, its productions and members. There
are lots of pohotos of people, productions and the place itself.
New Vic, Newcastle-under-Lyme
The New Vic is Staffordshire's producing theatre. The site provides
all the usual information about productions and other events, education
and outreach work, press releases and so on. It now features online
booking, a collection of press releases and photographs and details
of jobs and casting.
New Victoria Theatre, Woking
The first pages carries details of what's on (with some productions having pages of their own), the box office, the theatre's history and general info. There are also pages devoted to the Friends of the New Victoria and the theatre's tech specs. You can also send email messages to the casts and crews of their shows.
Norden Farm Centre for the Arts
(Maidenhead) All kinds of visual and performing arts, plus participatory events. Its programme has a separate pop-up page for each event listed. There are also details of the venue itself.
Northbrook Theatre, Worthing
Part of Northbrook College. Yet again, pretty standard.
Northcott,
Exeter
A very thorough site: what's on, booking, special offers, general
info, a detailed history of theatre in Exeter and of the Northcott,
and a look backstage (although some of the areas listed are not covered).
Novello Theatre, Ascot
The home of Redroofs Theatre School and College. It has a resident
company which does shows for children. The site gives details of the
shows, the company, ticket prices, school discounts, birthday parties
and an email newsletter.
