Links to Irish (in both the north and the south) Theatre sites - Page 3.

Malthouse Players
An amateur company in Mountbellew, Co. Galway, formed in 1992. There are details of its past and current productions, plus a list of the awards they've won.

Marching to the tunes of Beckett, Synge and Friel
Article in the Independent by Kate Bassett on the new wave of Ireish playwrights.

The Market Place, Armagh
A state of the art cultural and conference facility, comprising theatre and arts centre, in Northern Ireland. There are pages with details about the centre, its programme, a seating plan, news, technical information, and a section on its work in the visual arts.

Colm Meany's Virtual Irish Pub
A site (very) loosely based around the idea of an Irish pub devoted to Colm Meany, he of Star Trek - The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. As this site remnds us, he has done much more than this. There's a fairly brief biography, a filmography, some articles and interviews, and (inevitably) details about his Star Trek involvement.

The Millennium Forum
Theatre and conference centre in Londonderry. It is the largest purpose-built theatre in Ireland. A very detailed site - lots of info about facilities, events, even the staff!

Jonathan Rhys Myers
A reasonably complete biography, news, filmography, and a large "multimedia" section, giving articles, images, a set of desktop images, art, postcards and - coming soon - QuickTime movies. It's a little hard on the eyes: too much red text on a black background.

All That Glitters Is... Jonathan Rhys Meyers
The site's author calls it "pure fluffy fun" and that about sums it up - depending on your idea of fun, of course! I liked the FAQ, which is really quite silly (deliberately so). There's a biography, a gallery of pictures, 17 articles, "fun stuff" (the FAQ and fan fiction), and details of his projects. It's a framed site, but every internal link opens a new browser window. Strange!

Pan Pan Theatre
Pan Pan describes itself as an innovative theatre company whose aim is to broaden the definition of theatre with highly visual productions. It is deeply involved in the Dublin International Theatre Symposium. One page, plus the Symposium page listed separately here.

Parnassus Arts Group
An amateur group. The site has grown since we first listed it and now contains details of their productions, their rehearsal venue, their magazine - and their birthday party!

Playback Productions
An amateur company from Dublin which presents musicals. Details of their current show (with synopsis, cast and credits), a short history, a gallery of pictures, a list of the awards they've won, a long list of patrons, and details of past shows (only one at the moment, however).

Prime Cut Productions
A company based in Belfast. There are details about the company, and its productions - each with a page of its own.

Red Kettle Theatre Company
(Based in Waterford) Previous productions back to 1985, future productions, the 2000 season and details of the children's theatre company, Little Red Kettle.

Techies 'R' Us
A technical staff resource page for Irish theatre. There are listings for all kinds of tech staff: LX, sound, design, costume, musicians, crew and construction, and production managers. There are lists of theatres, companies, websites and email addresses, and a Stuff section, which includes a newsletter.

Niall Toibin
The official site for this well known Irish actor: pages on his stage, film and TV work, a biography, news, how to contact him and details of his charitable work.

Town Hall Theatre, Galway
A 400-seater theatre with an experimental performance space, the Black Box. You'll find its programme up to the end of March, a history, and details of seating and booking.

Waterfront Hall, Belfast
Their programme, how to book tickets, seating plans - not worth the bother of visiting!

Yeats Theatre Company
(Sligo) The company describes itself as a "permanent vehicle for Yeats' plays in Sligo." There's a history, previous and current productions, lots of pictures, and merchandise.
