Scottish Plays
"A comprehensive list of scripts suitable for Amateurs and Professional
theatre groups alike," says this site. It is a new site so there
are a couple of pages with nothing there at the moment, but all their
plays are online, together with details of cast size etc., and they
do have a secure server for online purchases. Definitely aimed at
the amateur market.
Sparklesharp
(Philip Ridley)
The RNT's 2000 tour. About the play, reviews and the education programme
(including workshops)
Sweet Love Adieu
Play by Ryan J-W Smith to be performed at Whitby Abbey in July 2003.
Imagine, it says, Romeo and Juliet. Now add Manuel and Basil
from Fawlty Towers. Now put Mercutio in a dress and give Juliet
a moustache. Sprinkle in a pinch of sex-starved, drug-making Friar.
Add a little thigh-slapping, sword fighting and thumb biting. Mix
it all up with half a dozen Shakespearean devices, write the whole
thing in Shakespearean verse, place your tongue firmly in your cheek
and enjoy.
This Is Our Youth
This site for Kenneth Lonergan's play at the Garrick has box office
information (including online booking), the play itself and the cast.
It uses Flash in an odd and not very user-friendly way. The front
page remains on-screen all the time and clicking on a link opens up
a small information frame on top. It is very small and so a lot of
scrolling is required, which makes it rather off-putting to read.
This Strange Hinterland
A one act play by Laurence Took. There's a paragraph about the plot, a paragraph by the writer, a cast list and tour dates for May 2000.
She Stoops
to Conquer
From TheatreHistory.com: a synopsis from 1935.
Stone Crabs

and about the eponymous stone crabs.
The Sunshine Boys
Details of its tour dates in 2001.

This is a massive project - ten linked plays based on Greek mythology
- which has been written by John Barton. Peter Hall was keen to direct
and the RSC was interested but it proved impossible to fnd the funding.
Now the project has been taken up by the Denver Center for the Performing
Arts in the United States and the whole cycle is curretly in production
and will be performed in October, November and December under Hall's
direction with a cast of US and British actors, including David Ryall.
A really fascinating site.
To Kill
a Mockingbird
The 1997 tour with Richard Johnson. About the play, photos and reviews.
Trust Byron
A one-man show, with George Costigan as Lord Byron. There are tour dates (Onstage: now out-of-date), Media (reviews), Dialogue (feedback from audience memebrs), a Bulletin Board, a map showing Byron's travels, and a very short page about George Costigan.

Uncle Vanya
The 1998 production of Chekhov's play by the RSC: a picture, cast list, and extracts from ten reviews. Part of a site devoted to actor Stephen Dillane, so the reviews tend to concentrate on him.
Under the Doctor
A synopsis, details of the cast and production team, how to book, and downloads, including ecards and video clips.
The Woman
in Black
Basic info about the show, booking, questions, access and education
provision.

(Marie Jones)
About the play, photos and reviews.
Wyrd Sisters
A play based on the science fiction novel by Terry Pratchett and performed by Finnish company Alter Ego. Details about the production and tour dates, but the "More Info" age is missing. Not a terribly useful site!
