David Drew-Smythe
Co-author of The Ballad of Salomon Pavey. The first page consists of four "filing cabinets", drop-down lists which link to various esctions of the site: the author and his work; Salomon Pavey; the National Youth Music Theatre; the historical background of the Elizabethan child actor companies. An impressive site which is well worth exploring.

A brief biography.

Dic Edwards - Playwright
This leading Welsh playwright is always stimulating and controversial, and so is this site, which includes the full text of his play Lola Brecht (1995), as well as essays and papers on his philosophy and approach to theatre.

Ben Elton
One page on the Beautiful Game site, giving an outline of his career.

George Etherege

Alistair Faulkner
A few of his plays are aimed at amateurs, but most at professionals. There are full details, extracts, copyright and royalty arrangements, and something about Mr Faulkner himself.

Alistair Ferguson Plays
A writer of plays for amateur theatre, based in Edinburgh. Details of his work, with sample scenes from three plays.

H.W. Friedman
Freidman has dual UK and US nationality and has lived in Britain since 1985. There are details of his plays (with synopses and cast breakdown), screenplays, and books (although there was just a title there when I visited in November '99). There are also details of forthcoming projects and how to contact him.

Brian Friel
A very brief survey of his work. A site from the University of Mainz in Germany.

The Gilbert and Sullivan Archive
A massive resource, full of info about G and S, and everything they ever produced. A real treat for G'n'S fans!

Peter Gill
A collection of pictures, essays, interviews, reviews, cast lists, programme notes, and other details relating to the plays, productions and studio of playwright and director Peter Gill OBE. There are over 330 pages, 43,000 words and over 600 images here, so far. As well as a record of Gill's work, it is an educational resource - and a very full and detailed one at that!

John Godber
There's a great deal of useful material here: a bio, interviews (both text and in .wav format), video clips, a play list that gives first performances, and a full bibliography.

Oliver Goldsmith
From TheatreHistory.com. A biography from 1935.

Peter Gordon
Details of all his plays - all of which are suitable for amateur performance and some of which suit youth companies - and of Mr Gordon himself. In addition there is a which advertises pending productions of the plays, and not just in the UK.

Philip Goulding
Philip Goulding is a award-winning playwright. His site lists his plays (with synopses and reviews) and gives details of how to contact him and his agent..

Warren Graves
A British playwright, with strong roots in amateur theatre, now living and working in Canada. The site simply lists his plays and gives cast and other details, including first performances and who to contact for rights to perform.

Robert Greene
From TheatreHistory.com. A biography from 1911.

Jim Grover: Naked Theatre
Details of his plays, including a number which were written on the Net. There is a great deal of interest here - about the plays, Jim Grover himself and his Rite2stage workshops. Unfortunately, this also has to be, visually, one of the worst designed sites I have ever seen! In fact, he quotes this on one of his pages. Worth visiting!

Lee Hall: an interview
An article from the "Telegraph" of Saturday 23rd September, 2000. It refers to his latest work, the film "Dancer", as well as previous work and his writing career.

Hammersmith Actors and Writers Group
Meets in Hammersmith on alternate Monday evenings for rehearsed readings of new plays. Readings are followed by chaired discussions aimed at giving the writers ideas for further development of their work. The audience typically consists of about fifty actors, writers and other theatre professionals. The site features biographies of its members, a schedule of readings, news, including the latest copy of their Newsletter (full of useful and interesting stuff) and how to join.

David Hare
This is called a Biographical sketch, but it's rather more substantial than that.

David Hare Interview
An interview from the American chat show The Charlie Rose Show. He talks a lot about Via Dolorosa, his one man show in which he was both writer and performer. The link on this page points to a RealAudio file.

The Rod Hall Agency
A literary agency which specialises in TV, film and theatre. Clients include Dario Fo, Lee Hall, Iain Heggie, Liz Lochhead and Martin McDonagh. The site covers the full client list, details of how to apply to join, rights for pro and amateur performances, and lots more.

Ian Hornby (Playwright)
Synopses of all his plays: one acters, full-length; farces, comedies, thrillers and pantomimes.

Lynne Harvey
Lynne Harvey is the writer-in-residence at the Drayton Court Theatre in London's West Ealing. There are details of all her plays here, both thsoe already produced and those under development, her CV and mission statement.

Henrik Ibsen
