Act Smart
Primarily a site intended to provide "a quick and easy way to access information relevant to the Acting & Performance course at James Watt College", but what is mainy of use to the non-student is a collection of links to Scottish theatre.

Act Up
An organisation in Battersea offering acting classes at various levels: 16-21 year olds, 21+, anyone considering a career as an actor, and those who have just begun their careers. There's news, where it's located, and details of the tutors, all of whom are experienced actors. Nice design, too.

Academy Drama School
This school offers an unusual range of courses designed to appeal to those who want to continue to work either full or part time whilst learning the acting trade. There's a part-time day course, a full-time evening courses, a full-time course, a Saturday course and a summer course. In addition they have a so-called "Company Course", which is a training rep company for those with previous training or experience, and a Stage Management/Directing course for which there are only two places a year. Exams are by LAMDA, fees vary considerably according to the course, as do the age ranges accepted. There are online application forms.

Academy of Live and Recorded Arts
There have been major changes since the 1st version of this site. There's a mass of information about ALRA's philsophy, courses and all the other aspects of the school. There are three year and one year diploma, and short courses in a variety of subjects. The acting diploma is NCDT accredited. Fees are listed.

Artists Theatre School
(Ealing, West London) Founded by Amanda Redman and has as its patrons Sir Richard Eyre, Sheila Hancock, Sir Ian Holm, Harriet Walter. Full details of courses, fees, dates and times, and a two page article on the school from The Times.

Arts Educational London Schools
Good amount of information. Easy to navigate. National Council for Drama Training accredited. Limited number of courses.

Audition Coach
Harris is an audition coach and director based in Sydenham, south east London. The site gives details of what he offers, fees, how to find him, his biography and reviews of his productions and comments by past stduents, together with some basic audition tips.

Birmingham School of Speech and Drama
Three courses (3 year Acting, 1 year acting, Stage-management and technical), plus summer school. NCDT accredited. Lot of information spread over a good number of pages.

Birmingham University: Dept. of Drama and Theatre Arts
Details of undergraduate programmes in Dama and Theatre Single and Double Honours, plus who's who in the dept and productions and other events.

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School
A wide variety of courses. A lot of information spread over a number of pages. NCDT accredited. Linked with the Bristol Old Vic Theatre. Application forms in zipped .pdf format available online.

Dee Cannon
Dee Cannon is a voice and acting coach and has been main acting teacher at RADA since 1993. The site gives details of her and her work, articles about her and testimonials from those with whom she has worked, news of what she is doing, what she offers as a freelance coach and how to contact her.

Central School of Speech and Drama
Quite a detailed site, giving info on the school, the courses, applications, fees. A wide range of courses, from BTEC to MA, and including summer schools and short courses.

City and Islington College
A post-16 college, offerng a range of courses including GCSE Drama and A Level Theatre Studies, as well as Access to Higher Education courses and Drama for Students with Learning Difficulties.

The Conference of Drama Schools
The organisation representing accredited drama schools in the UK. There's information about the CDS, a quick guide to courses in the UK, and a listing of sites for all members.
