Two War Plays on Tour

Menagerie Theatre of Cambridge are touring two plays - Two Into War - about war and its effects on individuals. These two monologues by Naomi Wallace and Fraser Grace were first produced when the bombs fell on Baghdad in 2003 and have nowe been revived for a short tour, including a week at London's Riverside Studios.

Gifts of War by Fraser Grace directed by Paul Bourne:
We're closer to the gods, we have finer feeling, that's why they give us victory ….
Ancient tales and modern dilemmas, in this beguiling account of the aftermath of the battle of Troy.

The Retreating World by Naomi Wallace directed by Patrick Morris
I remember. I remember… everything we say these days begins with ' I remember…'
An ex-Iraqi soldier pauses to share his humour, passion and wisdom on conflict… and pigeons.

Naomi Wallace is the author of The Inland Sea and The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek, and Fraser Grace has also written Perpetua and Breakfast with Mugabe.
