ACE Cuts - the Latest News Two companies which suffered in the recent round of cuts by Arts Council England have been given transitional dunding to give them time to find alternative funding sources. London Bubble lost all its funding and it was feared it would have to close down completely and Quicksilver has experienced a 52% and both companies will now be able to continue with their planned programmes while they search for alternatives. Meanwhile Union Dance has said that it will go to the courts to demand a judical review of the loss of its £264,000 grant. Talking to The Stage, general manager Cara Anderson criticised ACE for not fulfilling its own disinvestment policy, and said the case will go to court if the organisation does not supply further documentation outlining its decision making process.
