Grants from the ALW Foundation
The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, set up in 1992 to promote the arts,
culture and heritage, has announced six grants totalling £1m.
The grants go to:
The Bush Theatre to assist with the first phase of the development
of its new home.
The Mayor of Londons Fund for Young Musicians to fund
six scholarships over four years.
Oakley School, Tunbridge Wells, a school for pupils aged 11-19
with special educational needs, for the purchase and installation
of large outdoor percussion instruments.
The Theatre Royal Stratford East to to develop, commission
and produce a new portfolio of Musical Theatre work.
RADA to support its Saturday youth project for the next three
years.
The Weekend Arts College for the Performing Arts, which lost
its Arts Council grant, will be supported for three years.
