Lloyd Webber Theatre Sell-off? Andrew Lloyd Webber is in negotiations to sell off four of his theatres - the Duchess, Apollo, Garrick and Lyric - which will leave him with another seven - Palladium, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the Cambridge, Her Majesty's, the Palace, New London and the Adelphi. According to a spokesman for Really Useful Theatres ""Andrew Lloyd Webber has received an enquiry in relation to the acquisition of some parts of his businesses. As a result Andrew Lloyd Webber has instructed Patrick McKenna and Ingenious Media to advise on all available options. "The process is in its formative stages and no decisions have yet been made. The Really Useful Group and Really Useful Theatres continue to operate as normal." The group owns 50% of the theatres, the other 50% being held by Bridgepoint Capital. The "enquiry" comes from what has been called a "mystery buyer". Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
