- Best Single Drama: The Government Inspector (Channel 4)
- Best Drama Series: Doctor Who (BBC 1)
- Best Drama Serial: Bleak House (BBC 1)
- Best Continuing Drama: EastEnders (BBC1)
- Best Sitcom: The Thick of It (BBC 4)
- The Pioneer Audience Award: Doctor Who (BBC 1) (Voted for
by the public)
- Dennis Potter Award for outstanding writing for television: Russell
