Dateline: 20th November, 2003 Spring 2004 at the Bristol Old Vic Bristol Old Vic, which has enjoyed continuing criticial acclaim this year under the artistic directorship of David Farr and Simon Meade for productions which included The Comedy of Errors, an award-winning A Midsummer Night's Dream and True West, starring Phil Daniels, has revealed details of its spring season. Most striking is a multi-media co-production with the National Theatre of John Milton's Paradise Lost of which Dr Johnson observed, "No-one ever wished it longer than it is." Mercifully perhaps, David Farr's production condenses the story into 90 minutes of music, film and aerial choreography. Also on offer is a new production of Joe Orton's black comedy, Loot, and a co-production of Australian playwright Toby Farrows' Kangaroo Valley. The theatre will also host a touring co-production of Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
