Practical Theatre Book by BTG Reporter

BTG's chief north west reviewer and theatre news columnist David Chadderton has recently had the second edition of his book Practical Drama and Theatre Arts published. Some of you may have heard David talking about the book on BBC Radio Northampton.

Completely revised and redesigned from the first edition with new exercises and pictures, Practical Drama teaches various aspects of theatre using a practical approach so that readers can learn through doing. It contains chapters on subjects such as improvisation, script work, design, lighting, sound and writing about theatre. It is aimed at students of GCSE and A level drama and performing arts as well as theatre undergraduates, but is also a useful resource for youth theatre groups and amateur societies.
