Disability Access in the Arts

Access to Services for Arts Organisations is a one-day course designed to demystify the legislation of the DDA and explore ways of broadening access for disabled people to arts services whether they be patrons, customers or service users.

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Understand the scope of the DDA 1995 and what it means to your organisation;
  • Understand your key responsibilities as an employer;
  • Identify areas in your organisation needing policy, practice and procedural change in their approach to 'disability';
  • Feel more confident in identifying 'who is disabled';
  • Understand exactly what is needed in terms of resources and time-scale to improve access for disabled people to your organisation.

If you are a manager or administrator involved in the delivery of services and concerned about whether your organisation is meeting the current legislation then this course is an absolute must!

The course will be held in London on 20th January 2004 from 10am - 5pm and will be facilitated by Ann Pointon (Disability Consultant and Trainer). The course costs £140 + VAT and booking forms and further information can be found on ITC's website or by calling Hazel Tsoi on 020 7403 6698
