Autumn at ENO

English National Opera has announced its autumn season, which includes collaborations with La Fura dels Baus, Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre, Improbable, Punchdrunk and the Young Vic. Rupert Goold will make his opera directing debut and Deborah Warner and Katie Mitchell return.

Messiah
By Handel
A new staging by Deborah Warner, conducted by Laurence Cummings

Improbable will return with Phelim McDermott's production of Satyagraha by Philip Glass while Katie Mitchell's production of Idomeneo also returns. There will also be, at the end of the season, a site-specific new commission by Punchdrunk. The collaboration between the ENO and Young Vic contiues, with Fiona Shaw directing Henze's Elegy for Young Lovers in April 2010.
