Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead publicity image

ETT Are Back

English Touring Theatre, badly hit in November 2003 by a financial crisis which led to the cancellation of two tours, are to go back on the road in May with the first of three productions in twelve months.

Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, directed by artistic director Stephen Unwin, is the first, opening on 20th May at the Oxford Playhouse, where it runs until 28th, before moving on to the Yvonne Arnaud at Guildford, Malvern Theatres, then Salford (The Lowry), Coventry's Belgrade, Greenwich Theatre, the Bristol Old Vic,the Richmond Theatre, finishing at the Cambridge Arts.

Nick Rowe and James Wallace play the title roles, with James Faulkner, Grant Gillespie, Edmund Kingsley, Charlie Roe and Ed Browning also in the cast.

The other two tours are a new production of Hamlet (in the autumn) and Mother Courage and Her Children (next spring), although no further details have been announced.
