International Dance Festival Ireland

Some of the world's leading dance companies will be taking part in the second International Dance Festival Ireland which will run from 4th to 23rd May in seven venues across Dublin, including Mountjoy Prison. Fourteen companies from Ireland, the UK, the USA, Belgium, Germany, France and Israel will give performances and there will also be dance masterclasses, a community programme, a children's programme, a dance critic's forum and a festival of dance films.

The Festival performance schedule will open with a Gala on Wednesday 5th May featuring the Mark Morris Dance Gourp (USA) at the Abbey National Theatre and will finish on Saturday 23rd with Barr Go Sáil (Heel to Toe), a night of traditional Irish dance.
