Poster for Julius Caesar

Work with Fiennes and Warner!

Would you like to be directed by Deborah Warner and appear on stage with Ralph Fiennes?

That's the opportunity being offered by BITE:05 in association with the Youn Vic, in a production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.

Shakespeare’s classic tale of conspiracy and treachery will feature a cast of over 100 people. This will be the second community project associated with the Young Vic after the enormous success of Tobias and the Angel with the ETO in 2004. The eminent British theatre director Deborah Warner will be directing the amateur cast alongside professional actors, including Ralph Fiennes, in this classic Shakespeare production.

The Young Vic is looking for sixty people to be part of a community chorus for this exciting production which will run for five weeks at the Barbican Theatre this April/May. Do you have the enthusiasm and dedication to perform on a world renowned stage?

The taster workshop session will be on Tuesday 11 January 6.30pm in Oval. This is a brief, informal introduction to the project and will tell participants what to expect and what will be expected of them.

The auditions will be taking place on Sat 15 & Sun 16 January.

Rehearsals will begin at the end of February and there will be FIVE weeks of performances (April - May).

To apply you must be over 18 years of age and be able to commit to a demanding rehearsal and performance schedule. You do not need to have any theatre or acting experience just bags of enthusiasm and commitment.

To apply please call now on 020 7820 3350 or email gabbyvautier@youngvic.org to book your place.

For more information about the production go to www.barbican.org.uk/bite and click on Julius Caesar.

Please note this is a community project and not paid work. Expenses throughout the rehearsal and performance period will be arranged.
