Dateline:16th December, 2005 KIT Abandons SoundAccording to a report in The Stage, KIT Productions has pulled out of the Sound Theatre after its Christmas show, Snow! the Musical, closed just a week after its opening and its creative team resigned because the trustees were not willing to continue backing KIT as a producing house. The theatre will now be run by the landlords who will turn it into a receiving house for comedy and cabaret as well as theatre. The first production under the new management (in January) will be a revival by NML Productions of Jonathan Harvey's Beautiful Thing, which had already been programmed by KIT. NML's Neil Laidlaw confessed that the last two weeks had been very traumatic as the show had just gone into rehearsal but he is delighted that the new management is incorporating it into its new programme.
