LICA New Season Lancaster Institute for the Performing Artsconsisting of Nuffield Theatre, the Great Hall and the Peter Scott Galleryhas announced its programme of events for the rest of this year. Forced Entertainment will première its latest devised work The Thrill of it All to open the season in a piece in which "nine performers in grubby tuxedos and tarnished sequins play out a comical and disconcerting vaudeville to the strains of Japanse lounge music". Ludus Dance visits the Nuffield with Consequences, a triple bill of pieces by choreographers Nigel Charnock, Yael Flexer and Ben Wright. Inspector Sands's If That's All There Is examines obsession with feeling happy at any cost in the story of a couple teetering on the brink of marriage. Reckless Sleepers brings its story of time, travelling and the rehearsals for the lunar landings in It's going to be a long, long time. Levantes Dance Theatre will perform its Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award-winning Room Temperature Romance that combines dance with video, flamboyant costume and audio. Hetain Patel's TEN looks at the meeting place between the red dot on the Hindu forehead and the red cross on the English flag. Asian dance company Sankalpam will perform Corpo-realities, and Ockham's Razor will return with its aerial show The Mill. Rouge28 combines puppetry and other performance styles in Urashima Taro inspired by Japanese mythology. FAT from Pete Edwards is the story of a gay, disabled man in search of his heart's desire.
