The Works: New Musical Theatre Writing Mercury Musical Developments has announced The Works, an exploration of new musical theatre writing which runs from 24th to 27th October, sponsored by The Noel Coward Foundation, with additional support from The Theatre Museum and Really Useful Theatres. The creative staff of the Academy for New Musical Theatre (ANMT) from Los Angeles, visit the UK for the first time and will join leading British musical theatre practitioners for four days of discussion, readings, workshops and masterclasses in the West End including the UK premieres of two new musical double-bills commissioned and developed by MMD and ANMT.
