Dateline: 1st Septemer, 2003 News from the Midlands Hippo stomps along in new seasonWith Miss Saigon ending its run this week, Birmingham Hippodrome has announced its autumn season which includes a number of hit shows. Oh! What A Night, which now stars US recording star Kid Creole, moves in from September 15th to 20th. Stomp drums its way into the main house from October 7th to 11th and the programme also includes the hit comedy The Play What I Wrote, Boy George's award-winning Taboo, Tommy Steele in a new production of Scrooge The Musical, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down The Wind and the touring version of Stones In His Pockets. Kane ably takes on CarouselStoke-on-Trent favourite Sam Kane, emerging from his alter ego as Mr Linda Lusardi, checks in at the city's Regent Theatre from September 22nd to 27th when he stars as Billy Bigelow in Carousel. Choreography is by Wayne Sleep, currently appearing as the child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the West End.
