Could Your Kids Star in Mary Poppins?

The producers of Mary Poppins (Cameron Mackintosh Ltd) are looking for kids to play Jane and Michael Banks in the hit West End production.

The potential stars should, of course, be able to sing, dance and act, and should not have fixed braces on their teeth. In addition, the boy's voice should not have broken or be in the process of doing so.

What they are looking for is:

  • Michael is noisy, mischievous and troublesome. He should look to be between eight and ten years old and be no taller than 4'6"
  • Jane is thoughtless, short-tempered and untidy. She should look ten to twelve years old and be no taller than 4'10"

For full details, email jo.hawes@virgin.net for more information.

Anyone wishing to apply should send a passport-size photo and contact details to

Joanne Hawes,
Cameron Mackintosh Limited,
1 Bedford Square,
London WC1B 3RA.
