Wood to Direct AA
Tour
Victoria Wood will direct the touring production of her musical Acorn
Antiques when it goes on tour later this year. Beginning at The
Lowry, where it plays over the Christmas period from 11th December to
6th January, the show will go on to High Wycombe, Cambridge, Ipswich,
Brighton, Woking, Birmingham, Coventry, Liverpool, York, Preston, Leeds,
Sheffield, Darlington, Richmond, Nottingham, Canterbury, Reading, Bath,
Milton Keynes, Plymouth, Bournemouth, Blackpool and Southend, and will
end in Cardiff on 2nd July.
Chicago - the Third Tour
Chicago begins a third national tour on 27th September, visiting
Edinburgh, Manchester, Sunderland, Southport, Nottingham, Grimsby, Southampton,
Plymouth, Oxford, Glasgow, Stoke-on-Trent, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Cardiff,
Belfast, Bristol, Sheffield and Canterbury.
Jennifer Ellison, who will play Roxie Hart in the West End production
from 10th July to 10th August, will headline the tour in the same role
in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Sunderland, Nottingham, Southampton,
Stoke-on-Trent and Liverpool. No other casting has been announced.
Into the Woods at the Royal Albert Hall
To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Children's Society there will
be two special gala performances of Sondheim's Into the Woods
at the Royal Albert Hall at 3.00 and 7.30 on Sunday, 22nd October. All
proceeds will go to the charity.
No casting has yet been announced.
Stomp
Extends
Stomp (Vaudeville) has extended to 11th February, 2007.
