Maureen Lipman

Glorious! at the Duchess
It has been confirmed that Peter Quilter's new play Glorious!, about the "dire diva" Florence Foster Jenkins and starring Maureen Lipman, will open at the Duchess Theatre on 2nd November (previewing on 1st) after its six venue tour.

It opened at Birmingham Rep on 2nd September, playing there until 17th, before visiting Newcastle, Malvern, Richmond, Glasgow and Bath.

Jerry Hall

Hall in High Society
Jerry Hall will play Mrs Lord when the Open Air production of High Society transfers to the West End after its national tour, which finished earlier this year.

The show will open at the Shaftesbury Theatre on 10th October (previews from 1st).

Michael Siberry

Journey's End Casting
The cast has been announced for Journey's End which opens at the New Ambassadors on 22nd September (previews from 10th). The cast includes Ben Righton (Stanhope), Michael Siberry (Osborne), Stephen Bent (Trotter), Jake Harders (Hibbert), Tom Payne (Raleigh) , Robert East (Colonel), Alex Giannini (Hardy & Sergeant Major), Rod Smith (Mason ), Robert Orme (Corporal Broughton) , Richard Pepper (German Soldier & Bert).

This will be David Grindley's production's fourth West End outing. It opened at the Comedy in January 2004, then transferred, first, to the Playhouse and then to the Duke of York's. It has also toured the UK. It is currently booking to 7th January, 2006.

Joann Riding

Riding in Salisbury
Joanna Riding is to star in the UK premiere of Arthur Miller's Playing for Time from 10th to 26th November at Salisbury Playhouse. The production will then transfer to the Yvonne Arnaud in Guildford, where it will play from 29th November to 3rd December.

Set in Auschwitz, the play is based on the novel by Holocaust survivor Fania Fenelon, the part which Riding will play. In the 1980 film version, the part was played by Vanessa Redgrave.

Jane Asher Michael Feast

Asher and Feast at the Court
Jane Asher and Michael Feast are to co-star in The World's Biggest Diamond by Gregory Motton when it premieres at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs on 2nd November (previews from 28th October).

The production runs until 26th November.
