Tamzin Outhwaite and James McAvoy in Breathing Corpses

Breathing Corpses Sells Out
Lauea Wade's second play in London this year, Breathing Corpses at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs, has sold out for its full run. Due to end on 26th March, all seats have been sold and an extra matinee has had to be fitted in. The production opened on 28th February (previews from 24th).

Directed by Anna Mackmin, the cast conists of Paul Copley, Niamh Cusack, Laura Elphinstone, Rupert Evans, James McAvoy, Tamzin Outhwaite and Ryan Pope.

Donmar Cosmonaut Casting
The casting has been announced for the Donmar Warehouse's revival of David Greig's The Cosmonaut's Last Message To The Woman He Once Loved In The Former Soviet Union. Tim Supple directs the play which explores our inability to communicate and our desperate need to connect.

Michael Pennington leads the cast, which includes Brid Brennan (Vivienne/Sylvia), Sean Campion (Casimir), Paul Higgins (Oleg), Tom Goodman-Hill (Eric), Stuart McGugan (Proprietors/Patient) and Anna Madeley (Nastasja/Claire). It runs from 12th April (previews from 7th) to 21st May.

The last of Grieg's plays produced at the Donmar was Caligula in 2003.

Vanessa Redgrave

Casting: Hecuba and the Revived VM
The cast for the RSC production of Euripides' Hecuba, which was postponed because Vanessa Redgrave needed time to recover from an operation, has been announced. Joining Redgrave are Charlotte Allam, Jane Arden, Rosalie Craig, Darrel D'Silva, Maisie Dimbleby, Alan Dobie, Matthew Douglas, Barbara Gellhorn, Aileen Gonsalves, Lydia Leonard, Michele Moran, Sasha Oakly, Katherine O’Shea, Judith Paris, Sarah Quist, Christopher Terry, Malcolm Tierney and Natalie Turner-Jones.

Directed by Laurence Boswell, the production of Tony Harrison's new version of the play opens at the Albery on 7th April (previews from 26th March) and runs until 7th May.

It is 43 years since Vanessa Redgrave last performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

The revival of The Vagina Monologues, which opens at Wyndham's on 7th April (preview on 6th), will feature Sharon Osbourne and her daughter Aimee, Jenny Éclair and actress Naomie Harris. It is due to run for six weeks.

Jonny Lee MIller

Jonny Lee Miller Returns to the West End
Jonny Lee Miller is to star with Aidan Gillen and David Threlfall in a West End revival of Someone Who'll Watch Over Me by Frank Mcguinness. This will be Miller's second West End appearance: he was in the original cast of Festen at the Almeida. He is mainly known for his film work.

Directed by Dominic Dromgoole the play will run at the New Ambassadors from 19th April (previews from 13th) to 18th June.

Paul Rhys Anton Lesser

Rhys Out, Lesser in at the Barbican
Anton Lesser is to replace Paul Rhys as Brutus in Deborah Warner's production of Julius Caesar at the Barbican (20th April - previews from 14th - to 14th May).

The reason for Rhys' withdrawl, the company said, is due to “combination of a virus infection and physical exhaustion following a demanding filming schedule”.

Extending/Closing
The Lion King (Lyceum) has extnded its booking period to 29th January 2006
Round The Horne...Revisited 2 (The Venue) will close on 2nd April.
