Broadway Woman
to Close
The Broadway production of The Woman in White is to close on
19th February - a week before the West End production ends - after a
run of three months which saw audiences shrinking to under 60% on one
occasion. The West End version will have run for nineteen months.
The show's Broadway producers are blaming the fact that the two main
stars, Maria Friedman and Michael Ball, have only appeared in less than
a third of the performances since the first preview. Friedman was diagnosed
with breast cancer and underwent treatment during the first part of
the run, and Ball has suffered from a severe viral infection.

The promotion last until 24th March.
