However previews which were due to start on 15th August will not not begin until a week later, 22nd. The opening night, however, remains the same: 21st September.

National Backs Punchdrunk
The National Theatre is co-producing Punchdrunk Theatre's site-specific production of Faust, a combination of Goethe's and Marlowe's versions of the story. The piece, which will be performed in a warehouse in Wapping Lane, near Tower Bridge, runs from 17th October (previews from 10th) to 18th November.

It is a promenade production, lasting three hours in two ninety minute cycles. Audience members will be free to watch as much of the piece as they want to or simply wander around the building. A team of designers will apply a cinematic level of detail to the space to allow the audience to immerse itself in the world of the play. After admission, patrons embark upon an individual journey and may stay inside the performance for as long as they wish. Patrons are advised to dress warmly and wear practical shoes.
