Goodman to Star in
Birthday Party
Henry Goodman is to star in a revival of Pinter's The Birthday Party
by Birmingham Rep. Also in the cast will be Eileen Atkins and the production
will be directed by Lindsay Posner. IT will play in Birmingham from
11th to 26th March before moving on to Bath and Malvern, prior to an
expected West End transfer.
Rhys-Meyers to Play Presley
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is to play Elvis Presley in a mini-series for US
TV network CBS. He will appear alongside Rose McGowan as Ann-Margaret
and Randy Quaid as Colonel Tom Parker.
The series will be entitled Elvis.
Sunset
on Radio
BBC Radio2 will broadcast Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard,
starring Petula Clark and Michael Ball, at 6.30 on Boxing Day. It was
recorded in March at the Royal Opera House, Cork.
Live
at the Prince of Wales
The Delfont Room, the main bar at the refurbished Prince of Wales Theatre,
will become a cabaret venue in February when Joanna Riding gives a one-night
only concert at 10.00 pm on Weednesday 2nd February.
This will be the first in a series of concerts which will run during
March and April and, if successful, will continue throughout the year.
Details of the March/April performers will be released in the New Year.
