Workshops for Youth Theatre Practitioners

Workshop Weekend is the National Association of Youth Theatres' annual in-service training/networking event held at Darlington Arts Centre, 5th - 7th March 2004, aimed at youth theatre workers, education officers, youth workers and senior youth theatre members.

Workshops are delivered at a range of levels taking into account the needs of those who are new to the field and those who are more experienced.

Workshop Weekend is for anyone who wants to experience how youth theatre can work for young people.

The weekend incorporates NAYT's AGM.

Confirmed workshops include:

  • Instant Sets on a Budget
  • Costume Creations from Everyday Materials
  • Stage Management
  • Storytelling
  • Devising
  • Voice
  • Games Exchange
  • Practical sessions with Jeremy Stockwell, Director of Improvisation and Physicality in Performance at RADA, teacher of Clown, Mime and Movement at the Webber Douglas Academy and associate of the Royal National Theatre Education & Training Dept.
  • New Director Ben Ayrton will be leading a workshop entitled Eat the Rich.

There will also be a buffet, performance, evening meal and disco.

There are only a few places left so book now to avoid disappointment! The cost is £80 for NAYT members and £90 for non-members.
