News from the North East
Dirty Dusting at the Royal Again
Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood's Dirty Dusting, which is rapidly establishing
cult status in the NE, is to return to the Newcastle Theatre Royal where
it played to packed houses for three days in September.
The play, which tells the story of three over seventy year old office
cleaners who, threatened with the sack, set up a sex chat line on their
employer's premises, will play a full week at the 1,300-seater Newcastle
venue from 14th June.
Over 1,000 Tickets Sold
South Shields' Customs House has sold over 1,000 seats for its 2004/5
pantomime Dick Whittington, before this year's panto is halfway
through its run.
