NTS in Australasia Following the National Theatre of Scotland's success in the United States this autumn with Black Watch (UCLA Live, Los Angeles and St Ann's Warehouse, New York) and The Wolves in the Walls (New Victory Theater, New York), the company is delighted to announce that it will continue its international engagements with performances of Black Watch and Aalst at festivals and venues in Australasia from January to March 2008. The National Theatre of Scotland, Tramway and Victoria's production of Aalst will be joining Black Watch at the Sydney Festival and Perth International Arts Festival. Aalst will also be touring to Brisbane Powerhouse and Black Watch will be appearing at the NZ International Arts Festival, Wellington, New Zealand. Black Watch will continue touring internationally and across the UK from March to July 2008, including dates in Scotland (to be announced in early December), before ending the tour at Bite08 Festival at The Barbican Theatre, London (20 June to 26 July). BBC Scotland's Black Watch: A Soldier's Story has recently been nominated for a BAFTA Scotland Award in the Best Documentary Category and the production of Black Watch has been nominated for The Herald's International Scot Award in the Scottish Politician of the Year Awards.
