More NT Live Screenings After successful screenings of Phèdre, All's Well, Nation and The Habit of Art, NT Live, the National Theatre's satellite broadcast to over 320 cinemas in 21 countries, including over 75 cinemas across the UK has announced three new screenings. From the current season the hit revival of London Assurance, starring Richard Briers, Simon Russell Beale and Fiona Shaw, will be screened on 28th June at 7.00pm. This will be followed in the autumn by Hamlet, starring Rory Kinnear, with Clare Higgins as Gertrude and Ruth Negga as Ophelia, and, in 2011, by Frankenstein, directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle. "We couldnt have foreseen that the experimental NT Live season would be such a hit with audiences around the world, who are hungry to see our work in their local cinema," said Nicholas Hytner. "Through NT Live we can respond immediately to the sell-out success of London Assurance and bring it to tens of thousands who wouldnt otherwise be able to see it. And were thrilled that we can confidently build on the success of our first season with a second season of broadcasts." Lists of national and international venues can be found and tickets booked on the National Theatre website.
Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
