The top ticket price in Salford is expected to be less than half of this when it opens on 11th December for an initial four-week run. Wood has said, "I am very excited about Acorn Antiques The Musical coming to Salford. I'm really looking forward to having a bash at directing."

Bolton continues to break records

The Octagon's box office record for non-festive shows, set only last November by East Is East, has again been shattered by its last production of Arthur Miller's A View From The Bridge, directed by the theatre's artistic director Mark Babych. The production was seen by over 9,000 people, 94 per cent of capacity, 21 per cent of whom were new to the Octagon, some having travelled from as far away as Teesside and Oxfordshire. The run was extended for an extra week, which sold at almost full capacity.
