OFT Approves ATG Deal The Office of Fair Trading has decided that the sale of Live Nation's theatre arm to the Ambassador Theatre Group does not create any competition concerns and so will not be referred to the Competition Commission. In response to the decision Howard Panter, joint-CEO of ATG with his wife Rosemary Squire, said, "We are pleased with the outcome of the OFT review. We firmly believe that the transaction is of real benefit to theatregoers in the UK and for the theatre industry in general." ATG is now the UK's biggest theatre owner and producer with 39 theatres under its control.
