24 Hours at the Old Vic The line-up has been announced for the 2008 Old Vic 24 Hour Plays Celebrity Gala which will take place on Sunday 30th November. This annual fundraiser for the Old Vic New Voices project, dedicated to working with young people, developing emerging talent and building new audiences. As the theatre receives no subsidy, the Gala is a vital part of the project. The aim is for actors, writers and directors to create, rehearse and perform six plays in 24 hours. Actors so far confirmed as taking part are Jenny Agutter, Hugh Bonnevi lle, Hamish Clark, Julia Davis, Martin Freeman, Henry Goodman, Ilan Goodman, Josh Hartnett, David Harewood, Jessica Hynes, Jenny Jules, Dervla Kirwan, Martina Laird, Sally Phillips, Tim Pigott -Smith, Michelle Ryan and Lia Williams. Further names will be announced soon. Directors so far are Tamara Harvey, Clare Lizzimore, Anna Mackmin, Jonathan Munby and Josie Rourke and confirmed writers are Amelia Bullmore, Moira Buffini, Maurice Gran and Laurence Marks. Hosts for the event will be radio DJ and TV presenter Johnny Vaughan and James Corden, creator of hit show Gavin and Stacey. “The 24 Hour Plays is a quite brilliant, exhilarating event for everyone concerned, "said Kevin Spacey. "We’re delighted that such a terrific cast of actors is already on board, and that Johnny and James have agreed to hold it all together as hosts.
