Old Vic Panto Casting

The principal cast members of this year's pantomime at the Old Vic, Cinderella, have been announced.

Pauline Collins, probably best known for Shirley Valentine both on stage and on film, will play the Fairy Godmother and she will be joined by comedienne, actress and writer Sandi Toksvig as the Narrator and Madeleine Worrall (Tonight at 8.30 at Chichester, Three Sisters at the Playhouse and The Villain’s Opera at the National) as Cinderella.

Mark Lockyer and Hal Fowler play the Ugly Sisters and Buttons will be played by Paul Keating, who was last seen in Little Shop of Horrors at the Menier.

RSC stalwart Joseph Millson is Prince Charming and his sidekick Dandini is played by Oliver Chopping. Debbie Chazen plays the Queen.

Cinderella is written by Stephen Fry and will be directed by Fiona Laird, with music by Anne Dudley. The designer is Stephen Brimson Lewis and lighting is by Tim Mitchell and choreography by Francesca Jaynes. It runs from 9th December (previews from 4th) to 20th January.
