2009 at the National
Nicholas Hytner, director of the National Theatre, has announced some
of its productions for next year. They are:
- A new play by Richard Bean, England People Very Nice, directed
by Nicholas Hytner
- Death and the Kings Horseman by Wole Soyinka, directed
by Rufus Norris
- Shakespeares Alls Well That Ends Well, directed
by Marianne Elliott
- Buchners Dantons Death, directed by Michael
Grandage
- Brechts Mother Courage, with Fiona Shaw in the title
role, directed by Deborah Warner.
- Racines Phèdre, directed by Nicholas Hytner
in the Lyttelton Theatre, starrng Helen Mirren
- Time and the Conways by JB Priestley, directed by Rupert
Goold (Lyttelton)
- Dido, Queen of Carthage by Christopher Marlowe, James Macdonald
(Cottesloe)
The Travelex £10 scheme will continue for a seventh year in the
Olivier.
