Jim Broadbent

Broadbent Returns to the National

Jim Broadbent is to return to the National Theatre for the first time since 2003, when he appeared in Martin McDonagh's The Pillowman, to play Edward Lionheart in Theatre of Blood, which is based on the 1973 horror film, which starred Vincent Price. The production opens in May.

Casting has also been announced for The House of Bernarda Alba, which opens on 15th March in the Lyttelton (previews from 5th). Penelope Wilton will plays Bernarda Alba and the rest of the cast will be Deborah Findlay, Sally Hawkins, Katherine Manners, Sandy McDade, Jo McInnes, Pamela Merrick and Justine Mitchell. The production is directed by Howard Davies
